Remember the old Casio CZ synthesizers? Well, Casio is back in the synth game. The new Casio XW-G1 Groove Synthesizer is designed for the DJ and dance music crowd. Besides being a six oscillator monophonic solo synth the Casio XW-G1 has a built-in sampler and sequencer. You can sample internal sounds and also external sounds via a mic input into the sampler. Once you have your sounds use the 13-track sequencer and create new grooves. The sequencer gives you nine tracks for basses, drums, synths and chordal parts, four controller tracks for adding panning, filter changes and other animation to existing parts and eight patterns make up each sequence. Once you have created your masterpiece save it or export it to your computer. The Casio XW-G1 is an extremely powerful groove synth ready for your next gig.
