well. I have to say first off that the upload capability to Youtube works very well, and Youtube's native edit software after it goes on also works well... ie cut frames, etc, HOWEVER once the audio track is recorded.. what ever volume is recorded at means you are stuck with it. There are no controls from the panel to adjust volume after the recording is made. Anyone disagree? I would love to hear it! I have done gigs live with it and tried to just turn it on and see what happens, and in every instance there was no headroom... equals digital distortion. Just for info too, the resolution may be fine for putting your video on Youtube or Facebook, but forget enough quality from any distance past ten feet. Though it does have zoom and an internal lamp for low-light situations, the grainy resolution makes the video recording useless.
IF the video were better, ie had two settings, 640 X 480 AND say1280 or 1600 by whatever, then add some type of control interface ie Boss MicroBR four track... add some extra dollars and this thing would rock! I gave it's uniqueness a 10 and it's usability a 3. Sorry, Alesis.. I am still ticked off at you for discontinuing my Sumo amp! ;+P
