The Strat Is a Rock Classic!
This is a remarkably value-packed Stratocaster with the HSS configuration (humbucker in the bridge position with single-coils in the middle and neck positions) plus the Fishman Power Bridge for authentic acoustic guitar sounds. Arguably, this may well be one of the most versatile Strats in the Fender catalog. With a brain-dead really simple flick of the wrist, you get everything from crisp and clean to downright dirty and everything in between. This is also the first Strat to come standard with a Fishman piezo bridge. Oh, and it plays incredible, too!Fender Power Stratocaster Features quick look:
- Maple neck with modern "C" shape
- Old school rosewood fingerboard
- Fishman 6-saddle Power Bridge with tremolo
- Lightweight alder body with four-ply white pearloid pickguard
- Two Tex-Mex single coils plus Standard humbucking pickup in the bridge position
Lightweight alder body with four-ply pearloid pickguard
Start with the most famous electric guitar design of all time, with all the features that have made it so popular, like the comfy contoured, solid alder body and double cutaway for simple access to the upper frets. Then add some modern touches, like the four-ply white pearloid pickguard and the HSS pickup configuration. Fender also made it to be the most versatile, mid-priced Start in its catalog.
Maple neck with modern "C" shape
Leo Fender wasn't even a guitar player, yet he and a small group of talented individuals created some of the most famous guitars of all time, including the Stratocater. Leo was also the first guitar builder to use a maple neck and fretboard and pretty soon those blond maple necks became a Fender trademark. This one has a modern "C" shape and a more contemporary satin polyester finish.
Old school rosewood fretboard
While almost all the early Fender instruments had maple necks and fingerboards, the company eventually realized that some players preferred the a little warmer sound and feel of a old school rosewood fretboard. Eventually, most of the company's instruments were available with either a maple or rosewood fretboard.
Two Tex-Mex single coils plus Standard humbucking pickup in the bridge position
Today's players seem to appreciate having the extra meaty sound that's available only with a humbucking pickup, so Fender put its Standard humbucker in the bridge position and then added two hot Tex-Mex single coils in the neck and middle positions. From clean rhythm sounds to a screaming lead tone with the flick of the wrist. How cool is that?
Fishman 6-saddle Power Bridge with built-in tremolo
This is the first time Fender has offered a Fishman Power Bridge in their iconic Strat series. Now you don't have to change guitars when you want the sound of an acoustic. It's right there thanks to the built-in six-saddle piezo pickup rig. Fender also figured out how to add the piezos without sacrificing their famous synchronized tremolo.
