While we're on the category of effects, the Roland GAIA SH-01 features an onslaught of stackable effects. You've got everything from the smoothest reverb to the grittiest growwwwwl - all aimed to help you catapult your sound into new sonic directions. You've got reverb, distortion, fuzz, bit crash, flanger, phaser, pitch shifter, low boost, and delay (with panning and tempo sync!). And you've got dedicated control knobs so you can go on and tweak the effects in real time, plus layer up to five simultaneous effects. ARE YOU SENSING THE INSANITY HERE? Really, it's pretty ridiculous. Roland must have had a blast wondering how many minds they'd blow when they released this thing.
But we're not done yet. The Roland GAIA SH-01 even features a phrase recorder and an arpeggiator for total musical magic. You can set the tempo via tap tempo, hold a note or chord, and get it going. And you can use the Phrase Recorder to record everything you play on the keyboard - PLUS all your movements of the knobs and sliders. Loving it.
All of the Roland GAIA SH-01's goodness is packed into a 9 lbs. package that's easy to take to the gig. Yet, the 37-note keyboard makes sure you're not missing any of your favorite low-end or high-end spots on the keyboard. You can power it via AC power or batteries for total convenience. AND when you're ready to rock it in the studio, all you need is one easy USB cable and you're ready to stream audio right to your favorite DAW software (Mac or PC, thankyouverymuch). You can even plug in a USB memory stick and store/transfer your phrase recordings, patches, MIDI data, etc. How's that for cool? And there's EVEN an aux input for your favorite MP3 player for connecting it in and playing along.
We sense that you're getting the picture. The Roland GAIA SH-01 is a masterpiece in old-school sound with new-school tech wizardry. Here's a standing ovation to all the musicians and genius engineers over at Roland.
