Low-mass 1.6mm Fat Tone Hoops also contribute greatly to the Reference Pure Series Snare's resonance. And where the hoops meet the shell, there's a 45 degree bearing edge, which both increases the Reference Pure Series Snare'a volume and gives you an impressively large sweet spot to play with.
