Why We Love This Product!

Classic condenser sound on a budget!

Are you sick of the way a lot of condensers are one-trick ponies? Sure, they shine on say, vocals, but park them in front of an amp and you immediately see - or rather hear - their limitations. RODE is too, which is why the NT1-A does so many things well! Delivering classic studio-quality vocals and a whole lot more, the NT1-A redefines the word "versatile." The inherent low self-noise means your vocals - even whispers - come through loud and clear. But the ability to take substantial SPL abuse means you can put the NT1-A in front of the most punishing guitarist's amp and have it come through with flying colors. Also in the box: a shockmount, an XLR cable, and a DVD loaded with mic tips to get you started. When you need pro-level sound that'll take a beating, it's the NT1-A.

Excelent Microphone

For its price, this microphone is one of the best I ever owned (value/price rate). The sound that it reproduces is very clear, a little nuanced especially in mid to low frequencies. the voices that it achieves for voiceover are excellent.

The only thing that it doesn't like me, it is the fact that the shockmount stand is not so efficient to absorb the hits coming from the stand or t... read more [+]he desk or anything you can touch that can produce a noise that goes over the surface of the stand to what is connected.

For the price is an excellent microphone to start and if you don't have a lot of money to go for an more expensive mike, it is the best choice. close [-]
