I have been a semi-pro guitarist for along time, and have owned and tried many,many different brand and sizes of amps. As a traveling musician, draging heavy tube amps as well as 2x12 combos, this is "THE ANSWER". I would invite you to go to your local Music Store and try every 1x12 combo in the store. Check for clearity, power, spot-on effects,top-end cleans, deep low-end bottom,and everything in-between; then try the Mustang III , I'm sure you'll buy the Mustang. Whether you are a Smooth Jazz player or the Ultimate Shredder this amp will handle it,LOUDLY !!!
