This 18" wonder is flexible; you can position it where you want it (perfect for multiple speakers, both short and tall), but it won't dominate your face visually when it's time to smile for that photo-op. The MX418/S comes with a supercardioid capsule, which means you hear what you aim it at and not the surrounding sounds. You get an attached preamp, a flange that lets you surface mount the mic, and a foam windscreen.
