The Right Size with The Right Features!
Even Goldilocks knew that bigger is better... except when it isn't... then smaller's better... okay, that's enough with the John Madden-esk logic, but the point makes sense. Why tote around (or spend the cash on) a larger mixer when you only need to balance a few channels? Yamaha keeps it all simple with their MG124c. The MG124c hooks you up with all of the standards you'd expect from a smaller mixer and a whole lot more. For starters, what's really cool about the MG124c is how flexible it's channel configuration is. You've got four mono channels and two stereo channels and two channels that can be either, which is pretty cool, really. If you need six mic pres, the MG124c's got 'em - plus another four line-level inputs (two stereo line channels). Drop down to four mic pres, and you gain another four line-level inputs. Cooler still, the MG124c's four dedicated mic channels sport single knob compressors, which are both really effective and just about impossible to screw up. All of the channels with mic preamps on them have switchable highpass filters and phantom power. Add to that four busses and flexible monitor routine, and you've got a mixer that easily goes beyond the call of duty... just like Brett Favre!
