This is the acoustic guitar Joe Satriani uses! The JSA10BK is Joe's signature acoustic, made to be extremely comfortable to play... that way it's not such a rough transition from a rip-roaring electric to a potentially bulky acoustic. To make it comfortable, Ibanez and Joe decided on a thinner jumbo-style body... you still get that huge tone, but you don't feel like you're wrapping your arms around a massive stuffed animal or something. The JSA10BK just "fits." Plus, the cool-looking cutaway gets your hands allllllll the way up into the upper frets so you can colonize that territory too.

As far as tonewoods go, the Ibanez JSA10BK combines a solid rosewood body with a solid Engelmann spruce top... that means you've got plenty of power, but an element of warmth/sweetness too. Nice. To round things out and get you ready to plug in and perform onstage (just like Joe does all the time), the JSA10BK features a Fishman Matrix pickup and an Ellipse VT preamp.
