I purchased one of these about 6 months ago, right around when Focusrite dropped the price. It's a very solid piece of kit and students and clients have both been impressed with the sound quality. I love the impedance switching settings and I've found that with most of my condenser mics the Med or High setting are best, but I've got some old school harp mics that just sound amazing on the ISA 110 setting.
I primarily use this for acoustic guitars and vocals, although the DI is pretty solid for bass. I'd say it will hold it's own very well with most preamps sub-$1k and since the impedance switches give you so many tonal options it's a very versatile addition to most studios.
