IK Multimedia's SampleTron sports a collection of virtual classic Mellotrons, Chamberlins, Optigans, Orchestrons, and more. "Trons" were ingenious keyboards made in the 60's that were the predecessors of today's samplers, with the capability of reproducing many natural sounds that were recorded on tapes or disks and activated by keys. SampleTron includes samples of rare "Trons" sampled for artists such as Tom Waits, Crowded House, and Smashing Pumpkins.
