Great budget resonator

Fender has produced a much better made and nicer looking model to replace the old FR-48. The new etched design is beautiful and meticulously applied; the build is free of the sloppy workmanship that marred my copy of the predecessor. Sound wise I can’t complain – I’m sure a National would be better but the prices are out of sight. I may eventually upgrade the cones and have a pickup installed, but the FR-55 is fine for now. No regrets here!
