This is one snare that'll really cut through! The Firecracker from Pearl is crafted from eight plies of poplar, for a woody tone with lots of snap. Pearl fitted the Firecracker with 1.6mm steel hoops, six tension rods, and an SR-018 strainer for premium tone rugged reliability. To drive the backbeat, a snare has to be able to punch through even the most cluttered mixes, and the smaller diameter of the Firecracker really does the trick.
