An Elegant Rocker!
When Gibson unleashed the ES-335 in 1958, it was the perfect merging of the solidbody electric guitar and the hollowbody. The solid center block helps keep feedback at bay while the hollow wings darkens up the tone a bit. Epiphone's Sheraton II takes its cues from the ES-335, but it's adorned with cosmetic upgrades (gold hardware, more elaborate binding, and block/triangle inlays) that set it apart from the similar Dot. The Sheraton II - like the Dot - rocks a pair of humbuckers that make it super easy to jump from genre to genre. Elegant, graceful, and built to rock, the Sheraton II is quite a guitar!Epiphone semi-hollowbody guitars have given players affordable alternatives to their pricier cousins for decades. A longtime fan favorite, the Epiphone semi-hollowbody has been a key ingredient of Beatle jangle along with the effects-heavy modern rock of Silversun Pickups's Brian Aubert, to name just two. The combination of fat tones, strong sustain, and vintage vibe make the Epiphone semi-hollowbody guitar a perennial classic.
