This mahogany body guitar has the looks and playability of its earlier ancestor from 1962, but with a few modern touches thrown in. Designed in collaboration with Frank Iero, guitarist for My Chemical Romance, the Wilshire Phant-o-matic features twin humbuckers, a VariTone notch filter, and a momentary kill switch to create those cool stutter effects. The the Alnico Classic Plus humbucker in the bridge position and the Alnico Classic humbucker in the neck produces monstereous tone. The VariTone notch filter offers EQ tweaks that dial in killer humbucker tones and even a few single-coil tones. A comfortable mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard finish off this guitar with style. The Epiphone Wilshire Phant-o-matic is a rock'n'roll machine ready to tear up the stage.
