Why We Love This Product!

Find Out Why the Pros Choose EMG!

The EMG DG20 puts David Gilmour's signature sound inside your Strat, with EMG's exclusive solderless Quik-Connect rig. Identical to the rig in David's red Strat, the EMG DG20 pre-wired white pearloid pickguard is loaded with EMG's ivory alnico-loaded SA single-coil pickups, an EMG EXG expander for added fatness, and an EMG SPC presence control to enhance the natural Strat tones. If you're looking to add the same one-of-a-kind tones David used both with Pink Floyd and as a solo artist, then drop the EMG DG20 into your Strat!

EMG DG20 David Gilmour Signature Pre-wired Stratocaster Pickguard at a Glance:
    • EMG SA pickups
    • EXG Guitar Expander
    • "Strat Presence Control"

EMG SA pickups
The EMG SA is an active single coil loaded with an Alnico V bar magnet that has a classic Strat single coil sound: bright, airy, with a rich bottom end. With internal shielding and a low impedance preamplifier, you get virtually noiseless operation at a higher out level so that all the tone makes it to your amp. Additionally, the Alnico V bar magnet allows for the output to remain balanced during string bends, and makes for a playability and reliability that is unrivaled. The creamy mid-range richness and sublime blues tones are clear, tough and expressive, and allow you to reach from classic and clean, to rowdy and raunchy.

"Strat Presence Control"
The SPC or "Strat Presence Control" is often called the fat control. The original intent of the SPC was to turn the tone of a single-coil pickup into a dual-coil. This is accomplished by boosting the gain in a broad mid-band fashion and reducing the highs. The result is a fatter, louder tone from any single coil pickup, but you can also use it on a humbucking to give you a high output, really fat tone that's awesome for slide guitar.

EXG Guitar Expander
For flexibility in tone at your fingertips look to the EXG Guitar Expander. The frequency response of the EXG is similar to normal guitar amp equalization. The lows and highs are boosted while the midrange is dipped out. The EXG is killer for creating a fuller tone that doesn't get muddy, while keeping it clean and clear, letting your guitar stand out in the mix.
