Impressive

This guitar provides rich bass and thundering attack on chords. That is its unique feature. It has very clear mids and crisp trebles, but the real selling feature for this in the PA series is the bass response. It doesnt get tubby, the low E sounds like a piano. The sheer volume this thing creates unplugged is like nothing else. I have a Larrivee 03 and a Taylor and this guitar does something very special, it creates a full lush sound with a clear bottom end. Hard to find at this price point, think J45.

For high speed picking it lags behind the Taylor 11/16 neck with its 3/4 design. It also needs a medium action to get the best sound out of it. If u are looking for an orchestral souinding guitar which has rich tonality, this is the one. If you want speed,go Taylor and if u want rich, uncolored sound, go Larrivee. This is best described as a hard rock dread.

Earl, you're an inspiration to everyone who says they never win anything! (Except the Crew here at GearNuts, because we're not ALLOWED to win any of our contests. Sigh.)
