AKG D 112 Reviews
Considered an industry standard on kick drums (it does just fine on them), I really dig the D112 on bass cabs. Aim it at an angle sitting about an inch and a half back, and you're on your way to big, punchy bass tones. Don't be afraid to experiment with it on other things too. Gotten good voiceover tracks and guitar tracks with it too. Digs tube preamps for whatever reason. Good mic for bass and kick and other things too.
