The Little Hi-gain Head That Could
You'll form an immediate affection for the Bogner Brixton tube head. You get great tone and a lot of control here. The Brixton is essentially a high-gain design, however the combination of gain and volume controls let you dial in semi-clean sounds as well. A Deep Switch changes from a tight, focused sound with quick attack to a fuller tone with increased bass and a slower attack. The Voice Switch gives you three distinct voicings, and a Hi-Lo Power Switch lets you cut power in half, delivering a classic variac brown sound - looser with more harmonics. With the two 6V6s producing 12 watts, you're not going to be playing stadium dates with the Bogner Brixton - but for just about everything else...
