Analog Warmth for the Digital Junkie!
NOTE: The McDSP v5 release initially supports Intel-Mac and PowerPC systems running Mac OS 10.5.x (Leopard) and 10.6.x (Snow Leopard). A Windows version will be made available in Q1 of 2012.When you're working in the digital "box," you've got mega flexibility. Still, many of us hanker for the days of yore, when analog tape ruled the world. Sonically speaking, there was just something about it... a certain warmth, the certain way it had of glueing everything together, ah, the good old days. The good news is, though, that the world-respected plug-in makers know what we're feeling. And they unleashed Analog Channel Native to let you have the best of both worlds. Keep working inside your digital DAW, but use McDSP to bring back that analog warmth - and take a new level of control over just how much of that analog-ness you're giving your tracks. Cool!
So, here it is. Analog Channel Native. It's actually two plug-ins, rolled into one sweet bundle. There's AC101 that emulates analog channel amplifier circuits and AC202 that emulates analog tape machines. Suffice it to say, it's like sticking your modern tracks into an analog-loving time machine, and having them instantly return to you with that oh-so-excellent flavor you've been missing.
