Why We Love This Product!

No One Does Tone Like Seymour Duncan!

Seymour Duncan's APH-1 Alnico II Pro has found its way into the axes of guitarists such as Slash (Guns 'N Roses and Velvet Revolver) to Queensryche's Michael Wilton. Perfect for any genre from jazz to blues to classic rock and anything in between, the APH-1 is characterized by a warm sound and moderate out. The APH-1 is equipped with four-conductor cable to facilitate a wide range of pickup switching configurations. For tones that can be classic and modern at the same time, the APH-1 fits the bill!

Alnico II
The Alnico II magnet and moderate windings yield a warm, sweet tone with more natural string vibration for sweet sustain. Classic rock players who get their distortion from the amp rather than the pickup love the APH-1. It allows them to back off the crunch and get stunning clean tones with softer attack. Compared to the '59, the Alnico II Pro has a rounder sound with a spongier bass response. The APH-1 comes with four-conductor hookup cable.

Setup
The APH-1 is often used in both neck and bridge positions, or in the neck with a higher output pickup like an SH-11 Custom Custom or SHPG-1b Pearly Gates for heavier rock or hotter blues sounds from the bridge position. The APH-1 works well with brighter toned instruments and responds well to maple and ebony fingerboards. It also works killer with hollow- and semi-hollowbody guitars.
