Earthworks' 1022 2-channel preamplifier is as pro as it is no-frills. There are no bells and whistles on the 1022 - and no hum or distortion either. If you've been looking for a microphone preamplifier that meets the highest standards of professionalism, you've found it! The sum of noise plus all types of distortion is 1 part per million. What that means to you is that distortion and noise is so miniscule, it's practically non-existent! In the genuine world, the one you hear with your ears, the 1022 is perfect. Each channel has an XLR input, and you can apply phantom power via a front panel switch. The phase can be reversed and the channel muted by other front panel switches. Transparent gain is selectable from 5 dB to 60 dB in 5 dB steps. What's more, the 1024 has a 10 volt nominal out capability to take advantage of the capabilities of 24-bit digital.
